Clear from the start.
Why do I need an account?
Your account links your preorder to your verified Google identity, so you can view checkout activity and payment status. Creating an account does not authorize a payment. Square handles the checkout separately.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, until your product is delivered. Before delivery, you can get a full refund of everything you’ve paid, including the $25 deposit. Request a refund by emailing kyntrixaios@gmail.com.
Is a Kickstarter pledge the same as a preorder?
No. The Kickstarter campaign is a separate offer with its own rewards and terms on Kickstarter. The preorders, refund policy, and worker reimbursement on this page apply only to orders placed here through Square.
What does the preorder cost?
Every preorder starts with a $25 deposit credited toward the product price. OS or AI costs $100 total, with a $75 balance when ready. The combo costs $150 total, with a $125 balance when ready. The separate billing authorization allows Square to store a card and charge that exact balance once when the product is ready. There is no subscription. Square displays the initial checkout total.
When is the remaining balance charged?
The $25 deposit reduces the remaining balance to $75 for OS or AI, or $125 for the combo. With your separate authorization, that balance can be charged once when your product is ready. A release date has not been announced. You can withdraw future billing authorization in your account before a charge is started. Withdrawal does not automatically refund a payment; request a full refund before delivery through support. There is no subscription.
When will I receive Kyntrix?
Preorders are open until further notice. Release and delivery details will be announced here. Your account shows checkout activity and verified payment status. Keep your Square order confirmation for your records.
Can I preorder OS and AI together?
Yes. Choose Kyntrix OS + AI for the $150 total-price combo, with a $25 deposit now and $125 remaining when ready. To preorder OS or AI separately, choose that product, sign in, review its billing authorization, then select Continue to Square for an individual $25 deposit checkout linked to your account. Review the product name and amount in Square before placing your order.
What should I see at Square checkout?
The merchant is Kyntrix OS + AI. Choose Kyntrix OS — Preorder Deposit ($25), Kyntrix AI — Preorder Deposit ($25), or Kyntrix OS + AI — Preorder Deposit ($25). Review the product and final total before placing your order.
Do I need to volunteer my computer?
No. Volunteering compute is intended to be optional and separate from purchasing Kyntrix. Visit the community page to learn about the proposed network.
What is the worker-volunteer reimbursement?
People who volunteer a worker PC get 15% of the full purchase price back once their purchase is paid in full: $15 for Kyntrix OS or Kyntrix AI, or $22.50 for the OS + AI combo. A $25 deposit on its own doesn’t qualify until the remaining balance is paid ($75 for OS or AI, or $125 for the combo). It is a reimbursement, not an automatic discount at Square checkout. Worker onboarding, verification, and the claim process will be announced on the community page. Kickstarter pledges aren’t covered.
